Musical genius siblings Fanny and Felix Mendelssohn were each other’s chief supporters, deepest inspirations, and best friends—but a rigid world immortalized only one in the canon. Featuring a tour de force solo performance from Jennifer Vosters (A DOLL’S HOUSE) and presented for the first time with live music, SONGS WITHOUT WORDS wrestles enduring questions of gender and genius, family and fame, and siblinghood and the power of art.
Run time: approximately 75 minutes, with no intermission
“…a deeply engaging biographical narrative…speaks to universals in art, life, and familial love…” —The Small Stage
“A rich and beautiful tapestry of two composers’ lives…superbly written…superbly performed...flawless” —League of Cincinnati Theatres
“…takes a deep and thoughtful look at an exceptional pair and the result is a pleasure.” —The Capital Times
“…a revelation.” —Saskatoon StarPhoenix
