A New Play with Music Inspired by the Life of Mary Nohl

From renowned Milwaukee artists award-winning playwright Marie Kohler (BOSWELL, MIDNIGHT AND MOLL FLANDERS) and Tony-nominated composer Josh Schmidt (The End, THE ADDING MACHINE, THE MINISTER’S WIFE) comes this wildly theatrical and richly poetic world premiere play with music inspired by the life and work of legendary Wisconsin outsider artist Mary Nohl. Propelled by an evocative score for solo cello as well as a contemporary approach to movement from award-winning director Elizabeth Margolius, MAYBE WE’LL FLY will engage hearts and spark imaginations as it celebrates outsiders everywhere.

Run time: approximately 80 minutes, with no intermission

“Kohler’s writing is as full of well-developed recurring themes as a finely-tuned symphony.” —Shepherd Express

“Marie Kohler is a playwright to be taken seriously.” —Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

A New View for MAYBE WE'LL FLY

MAYBE WE’LL FLY celebrates artists, outsiders, and the imagination it takes to see the world differently. So for this world premiere, we’re giving the Studio Theatre a new view too.

Instead of our usual single bank of seats, this production will be staged in an alley configuration, with audience members seated on two parallel sides of the playing space.

Already have tickets? Don't worry: aisle seats remain aisle seats and front row is still front row! We've carefully reorganized the seating chart to preserve your original preferences.

Haven’t reserved your seats yet? Reference the seating chart pictured here to find the your perfect seat!

Questions? We're happy to help! Reach out to tickets@milwaukeechambertheatre.org or 414-276-8842 ext 4.
