The Holidays might look a little different this year. At MCT, we wanted to spread some joy by celebrating the holidays through stories and local traditions. You can watch this unique holiday program comfortably from home, beginning on December 7, 2020 at 7pm and running through January 3, 2021.

SEASON'S GREETINGS FROM MCT is our gift to the community this holiday season, meaning it's completely free. To access all of these mini celebrations you don’t need anything except an internet connection and our website. Help us spread the word and some joy this holiday season because even if we need to celebrate separately this year, we'll always find ways to be together.

SEASON'S GREETINGS FROM MCT will feature some fun and exciting holiday festivities.

  • If you center your holidays around food, Rána Roman and her brother David are getting together in their parents kitchen for a holiday cooking show, sharing with you three of their favorite Puerto Rican dishes and reflecting on what those dishes and the holidays mean to them.

  • If you’re more of a hot chocolate or something stronger and a good book by the fire, Jim Pickering is reading the original novella of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol.

  • Malkia Stampley, Chiké Johnson, and Kwasi Stampley are exploring what it means to come home for the holidays in a brand-new short film celebrating Kwanzaa and community here in Milwaukee.

  • If you’re into singalongs, local actor, singer, and pianist Steve Watts will have a set of the holiday songs you can belt out in the comfort of your living room.

  • The Bronzeville Divas—Cynthia Cobb, Raven Dockery, and Sheri Williams Pannell will bring you a gorgeous trio of carols and spirituals.

  • Elyse Edelman will be featured in a rousing piece filled with Hanukkah stories and lore explored through teaching select Hanukkah traditions to children focused on providing consistency and stability in times of strife.

SEASON'S GREETINGS will go live at 7pm on Monday, December 7th. See you then!

Thank you to the many MCT supporters that made this project possible!
